The Square

Obviously this is a picture of the town square (I have no idea of when or where I got it). I don't know what year it is (and I can't even tell by those cars [but I think it is in the 60's]). I don't remember them pave the road, do you?

Brian, The cars are early 50's so my guess that this photo is from the latter half of the decade. The Clover Farm is gone now, but it seems that the town square is still a "vibrant" spot from recent FB posts.

Hey is that me stuck on my bike infront of the barber shop?

Carey, I think it must be you. Zalar's barber shop is just out of sight to the right of the Clover Farm. This is where dad had his hair cut for years. None of the boys ever had a "store bought" haircut in all the years in Carmichaels. If you were 3rd or 4th on the yellow Cosco stool in the kitchen for the Friday night shearing, you were in danger of being burned from the red hot clippers. BTW, where were you when we went to Uniontown to the Green Stamps redemption store to buy the clippers with six hard earned books of Green Stamps?

Thanks, Brian. That is cool. Where is the vantage point that they took the photo from? The top of the Lund Theater?
