I viewed the golf video and the music video. You guys certainly had fun in Texas. So what is new?? It is always fun in Texas.

Kritin, we did enjoy Carey's visit. Greg arranged a perfect day on the Lake Arlington Golf Course. Then we hosted his musical friends Dave and Sharon to sing and play with Carey. It was fun that Donny sat in.

Loved the guitar video. Carey did a wonderful job on his Cat Steven's solo. Bill would have enjoyed that one in particular. Carey and Donny played so well together. What was the instrumental that they did together? Loved seeing Will watching his dad play. He's in and out of the video..and then his car appears crossing the floor. Cute....Sharon's voice was lovely, perfectly suited to the songs she was singing. Loved hearing Greg's deep voice in the background, laughing and enjoying the conversation....

Enjoyed the golf video too. Glad that someone else took over the camera at the end, Kevin, so that we could see that you were playing too. The camera caught the hushed, expectant, nearly breathless moments as the players teed up and took their drives. Reminded me of the Masters...although the gallery was a bit smaller...Great lesson there on the green. The newspaper article didn't mention that Greg was a teaching pro. Dad would have loved this....

 When watching the evening news today, I saw an image of coal barges lined up at the docks at the USS Mon Valley Steel Plant.  Of course the news segment was about the White House blocking the sale of USS to Nippon Steel.  My mind wandered to to dad's career at the Robena Prep Plant.  I didn't think that it was still in operation but I searched for more information.  I found that the Robena deep mines closed in 1983, but plant continued to operate until 2017 processing coal from surface mining for Consol Mining.  It seems that reclamation of the site began many years before 2017, most likely mandated by local concerns about environmental damage from seepage from the three large slurry ponds and other surface contamination.  Dad took me out one Sunday afternoon to inspect the dikes and berms around the ponds.  We had to hop into one of the big company trucks to traverse the dirt roads around the site.
