Cullen and Amanda Get Engaged

Hey Everybody

So here is the story. I took her out to a really nice restaurant called, The Reserve. It is a really nice place with a piano player who was a really incredible singer and very talented piano player. So far Amanda just thought that I was being nice and taking her out to dinner and had absolutely no idea what was really going on. The only people who knew at this point was my family that I had visited, my friends Joey and Kevin, Amanda's Dad(or so I thought... her dad told her sister and mother in law as well). We had a really good dinner I had a really good prime rib and amanda had a spicy chicken diavolo pasta dish. We sat and enjoyed the piano player for a while and had dessert. Then I told Amanda that I wanted to go out and take a walk on the bridge just around the corner. She was a little confused why I wanted to walk on the bridge when it was so cold out but she went along and when we got to a point that had a nice view (not very far because it was really cold and she had my coat on) I popped the question. She said yes obviously.

Previous to all of this Amanda thought that i had got her Christmas present and had to send it back because something was wrong with it. We were out to dinner with my roommate she was asking me what she got for Christmas and wanted a hint. She then started talking about a Wii and said she wanted one and asked if thats what I got her I said, "We'll just have to see" so then she thought she was going to get a Wii. Later the next day she was confused why I would have to send a wii back because I had told her there was something wrong with her present and I needed to send it back to get it fixed. She was confused why I wouldn't have just bought one at Best Buy. So she started inquiring again and she asked if she could play with it and I said truthfully that, "Yeah, you can play with it if you want to." So now she thought even more that I got her a Wii. But to her surprise it was not. So that is just a funny little anecdote about the entire thing.

That's a very sweet story, Cullen. I think this was a very romantic way to "ask the question". Good work. You'll remember this forever. Kathy and I were out for supper with two other couples on New Years Eve and someone aked the question about how we each had become engaged. Now what about the Wii? I guess this will have to wait until a birthday.
